Oh, the Embarrasment!

I am so embarrased!  After promising the most gracious and luxurious of events surrounding the adoption of the Most Adorable Princess Coco, the PM got sick and arrangments are greatly delayed.  It will be a rush finishing preperations for the ceremony on the spring equinox, but it must be done!

Luckily the committees have continued working and have solid proposals at hand for Our review:

-The Security Council notes that it has worked with with Buddy Bunny and his network to provide ground communications while UPS will handle air mails.  The Admiral Hestorb has agreed to transport the Queen Miss Catt and Princess Coco to the Realm of Capitol Drive.   Geographers have been consulted to help prepare the most propitious route for the trip.  Agent Ambassador Blackjack has taken charge of security for the Queen and Princess during the trip.

-The Refreshment Committee has prepared menus consisting of the classic feline dishes and chefs with assistants have been contracted. 

-The Protocol Committee has been devising a schedule of events which appears to provide for both the legalities and festivities.  The adoption ceremony itself will be sunset on March 20th, the spring solstice.

-The Royal Wardrober has begun outfitting HRH Princess Treasure and will be forwarded a final list of suggested items to Coco, Miss Catt and Hestorb.

Plans proceed--HRH's diary entry

We finally got some serious work done on the adoption this weekend.

A messenger had been sent to the Queen Bea, Emeritus, informing her of the upcoming ceremonies, and We received her reply stating that she will be unable to attend or to receive visitors due to increasing infirmities.  We are so sorry to hear that, but understand that she has fought her miseries for a long time. 

Upon receiving that information, We are able to schedule the adoption ceremony for the spring equinox.  We hope the winter will be mild enough to make this possible.  It will be a long treck for Our Coco and We do not want to add to the risk by scheduling her journey during bad weather.

It appears the Queen Miss Catt is being most helpful to the Princess.  She is purrfectly right in suggesting, for example, that Coco may be most comfortable in the vole coat.

The Royal Chef has begun planning the menu and We will be able to begin reviewing those shortly.

On a timelier note, We have so enjoyed Hannah's visit.  She made the viewing of the Hannukah candles cozier just be being in the PM's lap for cuddling.  She will have to leave soon, so We are planning special treats over the next few days so that she will be inclined to visit again in the future.

I am pleased to report that the preparations for the adoption ceremony proceed surely.

Recently, a security summit was held with General Boopsie Bear, Ambassador Blackjack and other invited individuals.  It was determined that the Most Adorable Princess Coco should travel in caravan from her governorship to The Realm's castle, wherein the adoption ceremony will take place.

A plan has been worked out which all believe will allow You to meet her safely at the border of Happylands  and the realm in order to accompany her on the final leg of her journey.  UPS will conduct aireal surveillance of the proceedings while the Clan Ringer will provide ground security.  It is not safe to report all details to you at this time, they will be conveyed verbally at the next meeting of the Security Council.

The following message was conveyed by Ambassador Blackjack from MAP Coco:

'Your Royal Highness,

'The honor you bestow on me by offering to make me Your Heir continues to overwhelm me with joy.  It is not often that one as young as myself is considered able enough to assume management of a new realm (or two, if one counts the Queen Bea's) at the snap of a finger.  I hope such a day will be long in coming, although I delight in meeting you as soon as possible.

'Queen Miss Catt has kindly taken me under her wing to prepare for the adoption ceremony; her secretary of protocol anxiously awaits communications so that they can help me prepare appropriately for the journey.  For example, with climate changes, should one bring the mouse stole or the vole coat?

'But most of all, I respectfully offer all good wishes for the success of our upcoming trips.
