Let it be known to all denizens and allies of the Kingdom of Capitol Drive that Candidate Knight Spitfire will be knighted on January 3, 2011, after a period of training and exhibitions of cunning.
Spitfire will be knighted by proxy by La Diviana, sister-in-law to the Prime Minister and ally of the realm. The ceremony will be held at sunset when dying rays of the sun will glint from Spitfire's sword, marking the path of duty, courage and enlightenment.
Mouse Pops to be distributed throughout the Realm and runners sent with deliveries to all allies.

Excitations!
Spitty the Kitty has expressed interest, despite self-reported fearfullness, in becoming an agent and serving Us as Sir Spitty! We have issued the invitation and await with baited breath his reply. His presence at the adoption ceremonies, and assistance, will add greatly to the festivities!

Plans proceed--HRH's diary entry
We finally got some serious work done on the adoption this weekend.
A messenger had been sent to the Queen Bea, Emeritus, informing her of the upcoming ceremonies, and We received her reply stating that she will be unable to attend or to receive visitors due to increasing infirmities. We are so sorry to hear that, but understand that she has fought her miseries for a long time.
Upon receiving that information, We are able to schedule the adoption ceremony for the spring equinox. We hope the winter will be mild enough to make this possible. It will be a long treck for Our Coco and We do not want to add to the risk by scheduling her journey during bad weather.
It appears the Queen Miss Catt is being most helpful to the Princess. She is purrfectly right in suggesting, for example, that Coco may be most comfortable in the vole coat.
The Royal Chef has begun planning the menu and We will be able to begin reviewing those shortly.
On a timelier note, We have so enjoyed Hannah's visit. She made the viewing of the Hannukah candles cozier just be being in the PM's lap for cuddling. She will have to leave soon, so We are planning special treats over the next few days so that she will be inclined to visit again in the future.

A "Hannah"kah Visit
Today Hannah the Hannukah bear arived for her annual holiday visit. Hannah is the cousin of General Boopsie Bear and was introduced to us by the PM's friend Betsy the first Chanukah after the PM converted.
Hannah always brings with her fond memories of Betsy, the wish to spin a dreidl and to learn how to make latkes. We always enjoy her visit.

Chanukah
Dear Kitties,
Last night, the PM lit the Chanukah candles for the first night. We will do this for seven more nights and watch them burn while remembering the importance of freedom and ability to practice your religion openly. I am a Jewish kitty and I am so glad that the PM converted to Judaism so we can have a Jewish household.
Many of you are Christian and your families will also have lights for decorations. May they also bring you great joy.
